I am always open to custom orders so if you see something you like on my Gallery page, or anywhere on my website (even a hybrid of more than one bird), then please do get in touch to discuss possible options. I have a huge stash of fabrics so I can usually accommodate most requested colourways.
Tucked away in my studio I also have a large range of vintage reels so for any custom order I can provide a few options for you to choose from before I finally attach the bird.
In addition, I've also made birds using customer supplied fabrics, either to match a particular interior design scheme or often for sentimental or very personal reasons, for example to remember a loved one.
With a custom order I very much work with you to hopefully create the perfect bird.

How long will a custom order take?
As you can imagine custom orders can take some time to complete due to the extra correspondence required. Lead times will depend entirely on my current workload at the time of request but the wait is typically 3-4 weeks. However this will be discussed before any work commences.
What is the process for creating my custom bird?
The process will begin with a discussion between you and myself about which style of my birds you would like (ie Mini Robin, Mini coloured, Numbered etc) and in what colours/fabrics.
Once agreed I will go ahead and make the bird. A lead time can be given at this point. When the bird is complete I will send you a photo for approval and also offer you some options for the vintage reel it will perch upon. I always try my best to find a reel to suit any specific requests (for example 'one with black thread') but options will depend entirely on what I have in stock at the time.
After the reel has been chosen I will go ahead and attach the bird to it and get the sculpture all packed up and ready to fly.
When do I pay for my custom order?
Custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit before I start creating your bird. The remaining 50% will be paid upon completion and before shipping.
Can I return my custom order?
Unfortunately I cannot accept returns on custom orders, but because the making of your bird is very much a collaborative process hopefully the end result will be perfect.
